Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

A mainly cloudy morning with the chance of a shower, afternoon sunny areas. Breezy southwesterly winds.
Highs: 17-19

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Areas of cloud and some sun, chance of a shower or two mainly about Taranaki. Breezy west to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 16-17

Eastern North Island

Mainly sunny with westerly breezes.
Highs: 21-22

Wellington

Sunny with northwesterly winds.
High: 18

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with west to northwesterly breezes, perhaps tending easterly for a time in the afternoon about the Marlborough coastline.
High: 19-23

Canterbury

Sunny with westerly breezes, light winds near the coast tending easterly in the afternoon.
Highs: 21-22

West Coast

Mainly cloudy with the odd patchy shower, breezy west to southwesterly winds ease in the evening.

Southland & Otago

A few morning showers clear, mainly cloudy although some sun may break through in the afternoon. Dry about coastal Otago with sunny areas from morning. Brisk to strong westerly winds.
