Tuesday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Today it’s a case of where the southerly delivers some showers in the east but western and northern parts of the country are sheltered and get the best conditions.

Cold winds are pushing over eastern shores and this time it includes the North island. It doesn’t appear to be overly wet but snow is forecast to drift down to relatively low levels in the south and a smattering is expected to around mid levels in the north.

Winds look to pick up a little more in eastern districts compared to yesterday and pack a bit of  a punch at times with a very fresh feel expected.

Elsewhere mostly sunny skies with just a few cloudy areas should dominate the skies.
