A mainly settled day for New Zealand however a front pushing onto the lower South Island delivers showers, some heavy with possible thunderstorms this afternoon / evening.

Auckland & Northland
Mostly sunny weather with south to southwesterly breezes, winds fairly light to start the day in the morning.
Highs: 25-26

Western North Island (including Waikato)

Sunny areas and some cloud with light winds in the morning, afternoon west
to southwest winds.
Highs: 24-27

Entire eastern North Island (Wellington through to Bay Of Plenty)

Mostly sunny weather with light winds in the morning, afternoon sea
breezes. A few clouds may build about the ranges afternoon / evening bringing
the low risk of an isolated shower.
High: 22-25

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny weather, light winds in the morning then afternoon north to
northeasterly breezes.
Highs: 22-24

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with light winds, east to northeast breezes develop in the
afternoon. A few showers move into South and perhaps Mid Canterbury
overnight.
High: 22

West Coast

Sunny areas and some cloud with light westerly winds, a few showers move
into Fiordland from late morning then pushing a little further north into South
Westland during the evening.
Highs: 20-21

Southland & Otago

Sunny areas and some high cloud, winds mainly light and tending northwest.
Mid afternoon a southwest change moves in to Southland bringing showers
(possibly heavy with thunderstorms) then pushing through into Otago late
afternoon / evening.
Highs: 21-22
