A weak area of low pressure brings isolated showers to some upper North Island regions today, sunny spells increase in the south. For the South Island conditions are mainly settled, southerlies freshen up along the east coast in the afternoon then some late cloud moves in.

with the chance of a heavy fall. Light winds.

Eastern North Island

Any early showers clear, cloud breaks around midday with sunny spells
increasing. Southerly winds.

Morning rain eases then clears, becoming mostly sunny by midday. South to
southeasterly winds.
