A large anticyclone brings mainly settled weather across the country tonight. Eastern regions of both islands are likely to experience a fair bit of cloud however with drizzle possible.

Cloudy areas breaking up overnight, southerly winds ease later this evening.

Clear spells lengthen this evening, mainly clear skies overnight with southwesterly breezes dying out.

Mainly clear skies with light winds, northerlies about the Bay Of Plenty
ease this evening.

Eastern North Island
Clear skies to start this evening however cloud thickens up later this
evening. Some drizzle possible overnight. Easterlies tend southerly later.

Western North Island
Mainly clear skies with east to southeasterly breezes, a few clouds about
at times.

Wellington
Mainly clear skies, southerlies ease and tend easterly this evening.

Clear skies although some cloud moves in during the evening, northerlies
ease with light winds overnight.

Cloudy with easterlies easing this evening, chance of a drizzle patch
otherwise mainly dry.

Cloudy with east to northeasterly breezes, the odd drizzle patch about.
