Today and tomorrow

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The sun did appear in many places today with the mercury sneaking into the 20s in places such as Kawerau, Murchison and Alexandra.

Auckland wasn’t too far behind with 19 degrees but a cool easterly kept temperatures down overall in the east of the country.

Tonights temperatures may not be as cool as last night overall with the next system approaching and a little more cloud cover is expected in the west and south.

Tomorrow, showers or drizzle should move up the west and south of the mainland keeping a lid a little on the temperatures.
