A lull in the weather today of sorts, we still have fairly breezy westerlies flowing over New Zealand. Eastern regions do the best while there is some cloud and the odd shower out west.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Showers and sunny spells, some may be heavy in the west. Showers may increase towards evening. The Bay Of Plenty staying mainly dry although a shower may sneak into western Bay Of Plenty at times. Brisk westerlies.
Highs: 19-21

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly cloudy with occasional showers, winds breezy to brisk from the west.
Highs: 16-18

Eastern North Island

Mainly sunny, winds fairly gusty from the west or northwest during the day however.
Highs: 19-20

Wellington

Sunny areas with gusty northwesterly winds.
High: 17

Marlborough & Nelson

Mainly sunny weather, winds fairly breezy from the west or northwest.
Highs: 16-19

Canterbury

Mainly sunny with moderate northwesterly winds, winds about North Canterbury may be gusty initially in the morning.
High: 19

West Coast

Morning showers clear then sunny areas develop, winds breezy from the west.
Highs: 12-14

Southland & Otago

Showers, clearing during the morning and the odd sunny area may then break through especially for inland areas. Gusty westerlies ease.
Highs: 11-13
