Mostly sunny with westerly winds, cloud thickens overnight.

Waikato & Central North Island

Sunny spells with brisk westerly winds, cloud thickens from late afternoon
then there could be a shower or two in the evening.
Highs: 19-21

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny weather, some early high cloud clearing then increasing again
mid afternoon onwards. Breezy northwesterlies gusty about the Wairarapa.
Highs: 24-25

Western North Island

Brisk west to northwest winds, a few showers from midday then clearing in
the evening.
High: 19

Wellington

Sunny spells with strong to gale northwesterly winds, a few brief showers
pass through early afternoon.
High: 18

Nelson

Morning cloud with a few showers clearing, mostly sunny by midday. Gusty
northwesterly winds.
High: 20

Marlborough

Morning cloud with the chance of a shower then sunny by midday, strong
northwesterlies possibly gusting to gale at times then easing in the
evening.

Canterbury

Sunny with a little high cloud, mainly early morning then clearing. Gusty
northwesterly winds, strong about North Canterbury.

West Coast

Early rain easing to showers, showers pick up again in the evening with
thunderstorms / hail possible. Brisk westerly winds.

Coastal Otago

Sunny areas and some cloud with gusty westerlies, strong at times PM with
the risk of a shower.

Central Otago

Periods of cloud with brisk westerly winds, the odd brief shower possible
mainly in the west and south of the district.

Strong westerly winds with a risk of winds gusting to gale at times, cloudy
periods and the odd shower about.
