Northland
Periods of cloud and sunny spells, breezy southwesterlies ease in the evening.

Auckland

Sunny areas and cloud at times during the day, a few showers pass through this morning. Cloud thickens overnight. Breezy southwesterly winds.
Highs: 17-18

Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny with breezy west to southwesterly winds.
High: 20

Waikato & Central North Island

Sunny spells with west to southwest winds, a few showers clear the Waikato this morning. Cloud increases from evening
(overnight about the Waikato).
Highs: 17-18

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with southwesterly winds, easing in the afternoon. Some
evening high cloud.
Highs: 20-21

Taranaki

Sunny spells with breezy west to southwest winds, cloud increases from
afternoon then thickens evening.
Highs: 16-17

Western North Island

Mostly sunny with westerly winds, cloud increases from late afternoon and
thickens later in the evening.
High: 17

Wellington

Sunny in the morning with southerlies dying out early on. Some high cloud
moves in from afternoon as northwesterly winds build. Cloud thickens in the
evening.
High: 17

Nelson

Sunny with southwesterly winds, high cloud develops from afternoon then
cloud thickens / lowers in the evening.
High: 18

Marlborough

Sunny with some high cloud developing from afternoon, light winds in the
morning then northwesterlies develop in the afternoon.
High: 21

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with some high cloud developing from afternoon, light winds
near the coast and strengthening northwesterlies inland. Northwesterlies spread
to the coast by evening.
High: 19

West Coast

Cloudy with patchy showers developing about South Westland in the morning
then turning to rain in the afternoon. Rain spreads into North Westland in the evening. Winds build from the northwest.
Highs: 14-15

Coastal Otago

Plenty of high cloud with northwesterly winds, there could be a shower at
times about Otago Peninsula and southwards along the coast during the day. Winds
tend southwest in the evening with any showers clearing.
High: 17

Central Otago

Areas of high cloud with westerly winds, gusty in the evening. Some rain at
times mainly west of the Southern Lakes area and about southern parts of the
region.
High: 13

Southland

Showers move in early on with northwesterly winds building, winds change
brisk westerly in the evening with showers easing then clearing.
High: 16
