A westerly quarter airflow increases over the country today, mainly regions still see sunny weather though with warm temperatures out east. A isolated showers possible this afternoon Bay Of Plenty northwards. A cold southwest change moves onto Southland this afternoon with snow flurries lowering to 300m overnight.

Northland
Sunny spells with light winds, afternoon sea breezes near coastal areas. Low risk of a few late afternoon isolated showers otherwise dry.

Auckland

Sunny spells with light winds, afternoon sea breezes. A few isolated
showers develop in the afternoon then clear by evening.

Bay Of Plenty

Sunny spells with light northwesterlies, a few late afternoon / evening
isolated showers possibly heavy.

Central North Island & Waikato

Periods of cloud and a few sunny spells, westerly winds. In the afternoon a
few isolated showers are possible then clearing evening.

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with light northeasterlies. Late afternoon / evening there
could be a few isolated showers about the ranges of Hawkes Bay and Gisborne then
spreading to the coast for a time, as showers clear winds tend northwest.

Mostly sunny with west to northwest winds freshening from midday, some
cloud moves in later in the evening.

Western North Island

Mostly Sunny, northwesterly winds freshen. Cloud increases later in the
evening.

Northerlies becoming strong by midday but mostly sunny, an overnight
southerly change brings cloud and showers towards dawn on Friday.

Sunny with northwesterly winds freshening from afternoon, an overnight
southerly brings some cloud.

Sunny with northwesterly winds freshening from afternoon, an overnight
southerly brings cloud.

Mostly sunny with light winds near the coast, evening southerly then late
drizzle. Inland winds are gusty from the northwest then giving way to
southerlies overnight.
