Mainly clear and settled skies over the country tonight under a weak ridge of high pressure. Some cloud and the odd shower affects coastal Canterbury however and eastern parts of the North Island.

Auckland & Northland
Mainly clear skies with light southwesterlies easing this evening. Chance of light frosts overnight in sheltered areas.

Mainly clear skies with light southwesterlies, there may be some high cloud for a time, mainly about eastern parts of the region.

Waikato & Central North Island

Mainly clear skies with light southerlies easing this evening, cold
overnight. Some cloud about southern parts of the Central North Island with a
brief shower or two possible.
Tonight’s Lows: -2-1

Eastern North Island

Cloudy periods with the odd shower, more persistent about northern Hawkes
Bay and Gisborne. Cold southwesterly winds.

Taranaki

Mainly clear skies with breezy southeasterly winds easing, chance of an
shower about southern Taranaki then clearing this evening.
