A ridge lies over the country tonight bringing mainly settled weather, some cloud and drizzle still affects areas north of Auckland.

Northland

Fairly cloudy with easterly breezes, patchy rain or drizzle (especially in the east) eases a bit overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 18-19

Auckland

Mostly cloudy with easterly breezes, a brief spit or drizzle patch possible at times.

Tonight’s Low: 18

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mainly clear this evening although there could be some fog or low cloud
about overnight, light winds tend east to northeast. Skies a bit cloudier about
the Bay Of Plenty and northern Waikato.

Tonight’s Lows: 13-17

Eastern North Island

Clear skies, east to northeast breezes ease later this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-15

Western North Island

Clear skies with east to southeast winds easing this evening, light winds
overnight. Chance of some fog about later tonight. Westerlies north of Wanganui
ease later this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 13-16

Wellington

Clear skies with light winds, a chance some low cloud may return this
evening.

Tonightâ€™s Low: 16

Nelson

Periods of cloud with northerlies easing this evening.

Tonight’s Low: 17

Marlborough

Mainly clear skies with east to northeast breezes easing this evening,
light winds overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 16

Canterbury

Clear skies to start however periods of cloud move in later, east to
northeast breezes ease overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 16

West Coast

Mainly clear skies with some cloud moving in overnight, light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 15-16

Coastal Otago

Periods of cloud with northeasterly breezes.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-15

Central Otago

Periods of high cloud, west to southwest breezes ease later this evening.
Light winds overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 13-14

Southland

High cloud with southerlies easing this evening, light winds tend northerly
overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 14
