Thunderstorms and heavy showers return to inland Queensland

> From the WeatherWatch archives

In the past hour heavy showers and thunderstorms have returned to parts of inland Queensland reports WeatherWatch.co.nz.

The thunderstorm activity remains well west of Brisbane and Toowoomba with another line of thunderstorms south of Cairns to the north.

For much of the day rain has fallen around Rockhampton and Bundaberg however as darkness draws closer it appears those showers are now easing.

Showers are also easing around Townsville, although thunderstorms remain to the west of the city.

In Brisbane this afternoon/evening skies are cloudy and winds are brisk but the skies are remaining dry.

Thursday looks set to remain dry weatherwise for Brisbane but rain and thunderstorms are likely to continue further north towards Townsville.

WeatherWatch.co.nz will have extensive coverage across Thursday
