A bit chilly for some regions tonight, it will feel a fair bit cooler than normal for the eastern North Island and eastern Northland. Tonight’s coldest overnight lows are likely about inland parts of the South and North Island’s (east of the Central Plateau more specifically) getting down to between 0 and 2 degrees, a chance of -1 or -2 about the Mackenzie Country in the south.
Wellington, Auckland and northern parts of Northland get down to 9 or 10 degrees.
Tomorrow’s warmest temperatures go to Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and eastern Northland around 16 degrees. While not the warmest South Westland will likely have some great weather after any early cloud clears, winds should be light. Southland and coastal Otago get the coldest day time highs on 9 to 10 degrees.
