Upper North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds and afternoon sea
breezes, cloud a little more frequent during the afternoon with the chance of an isolated shower or two then clearing later in the evening.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds, afternoon sea breezes about coastal areas. Chance of an isolated afternoon shower about inland hills and ranges then clearing in the evening. Gisborne may be fairly cloudy for much of the day with
southerly winds and a few morning light showers.

Upper South Island

Mostly sunny with areas of cloud morning and night, light winds
and afternoon sea breezes. About inland areas (especially the Nelson Lakes
region) a few isolated afternoon showers may develop then clearing later in the
evening.

Lower South Island

Any morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather about Central Otago, light winds tend south to southwesterly in
the afternoon. Southland and coastal Otago may remain fairly cloud for much of
the day with the chance of a clearing shower this morning.
