Mainly anticyclonic conditions for New Zealand today however a weak front moves further up the South Island bringing cooler weather, cloud and a few drizzle patches or showers. 

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny with cloud more likely in the afternoon, chance of a late afternoon isolated shower in Northland (mainly). Sea breezes, light winds, or a South West breeze.
Highs: 23-27

 
Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly sunny with afternoon westerlies.
Highs: 22-25

 

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds or sea breezes. After cloud build-ups may produce a downpour in the Gisborne/East Cape region.
Highs: 23-26

 

Wellington

Cooler southerlies and cloudier weather today.
High: 18

 

Marlborough & Nelson

Fairly sunny but perhaps a little cooler. Might be a shower around Nelson.
High: 19 to 23

 

Canterbury

A colder day with southerlies. Drizzle patches and showers possible, especially south of the Port Hills.
Highs: 14 – 17

 

West Coast

Mostly Sunny and mild with light winds or light sou’westers.
Highs: 21 coastal to 24 inland

 

Southland & Otago

Cloudy areas with winds from the west.
Highs: 15 coastal to 20 inland.
