Upper North Island

Sunny spells and increasing cloud, some drizzle from late afternoon or evening with conditions becoming quite humid. West to northwesterly winds freshen.

Lower North Island

Increasing cloud in the west with patchy rain or drizzle from afternoon, west to northwesterly winds freshen. Humid conditions moving in during the afternoon. A mainly sunny and hot day along the east coast, some high cloud about the Wairarapa. Winds from the northwest.

South Island

Mostly cloudy along the West Coast with patchy rain or drizzle, winds from the northwest. High cloud out east with dry hot conditions and northwesterly winds. A southwest change moves into Southland and Otago this afternoon bringing a few showers.
