Upper North Island

Mainly sunny weather with southwesterly breezes, afternoon sea breezes about eastern Northland and the Bay Of Plenty.

Lower North Island

Mainly sunny weather with west to northwesterly winds in the west, afternoon east to northeasterly breezes in the east. Wellington sees mainly sunny skies with breezy northerly winds.

Upper South Island

Mainly sunny weather with westerly breezes for the West Coast, west to northwesterly winds for most other areas also however Nelson and the coastal fringe of the east coast sees afternoon north to northeasterly winds.

Lower South Island

Cloudy about Fiordland with patchy showers or drizzle, cloud less frequent further north. Mostly sunny elsewhere with some high cloud possible, west to northwesterly winds.

A hot day for eastern and northern parts of New Zealand, reaching into the high 20’s or early 30’s for some.
