Upper North Island

Mostly sunny with light east to northeasterly winds, cloud may be a little more frequent for Auckland and Northland with the low risk of a shower or two.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny weather after any morning low cloud or fog clears, chance of a frosty start especially inland. Winds light from the north or northeast, picking up about Wellington in the evening.

Upper South Island

Mostly cloudy in the west with showers, some overnight rain possibly heavy. The East Coast sees sunny areas and increasing high cloud, northerly winds.

Lower South Island

Showers for the West Coast, heavy rain develops from evening about South Westland. The East Coast sees thick high cloud develop in the morning, chance spot of rain overnight.
