Upper North Island

A chance of low cloud or fog morning and night, sunny areas and some high cloud otherwise. Northland may see a light shower or two in the east. Winds are mostly light, coming in from the east or northeast about Northland.

Lower North Island

Sunny areas after any morning low cloud or fog breaks away, light westerly winds tending east to northeast in the afternoon along the east coast.

Upper South Island

Mostly sunny weather, some high cloud. Westerlies in the west, light winds in the east tend east to northeast in the afternoon.

Lower South Island

Plenty of high cloud with northwesterly winds, warm temperatures along the east coast. Fiordland sees cloudy skies and showers for much of the day. While Southland is mainly dry, there is the chance of a shower or two.
