Upper North Island

Mostly cloudy with the odd patchy light shower about, breezy east to northeasterly winds.

Lower North Island

A mix of sun and cloud, chance of a shower or two mainly about Taranaki and perhaps the Central North Island.Winds from the northeast for most, winds quite light from southern Taranaki down through to Kapiti with warm temperatures.

Upper South Island

Dry on the east coast with some increasing high cloud, winds from the north for most although perhaps tending a little more northeast near the coast. Nelson and the West Coast is fairly cloudy with the chance of a light shower now and then, rain around Greymouth southwards.

Lower South Island

Thick high cloud out east and for Southland with northerly winds, perhaps a spot of rain or two. Cloudy on the West Coast with rain, chance of a few heavy falls.
