Upper North Island

Mostly cloudy with breezy southwesterly winds, chance of a shower or two about mainly for Northland and Auckland. The Bay Of Plenty and to an extent the Waikato sees some sun.

Lower North Island

Morning cloud breaks to a mostly sunny afternoon in the west, winds from the south or southeast. Wellington sees sunny areas during the day with southerly breezes however cloud thickens late afternoon / evening. Along the east coast conditions are mostly sunny however southerlies gradually pick up from afternoon and cloud increases this evening.

Upper South Island

Mostly sunny on the West Coast and for Nelson / Marlborough, winds mainly light. Canterbury has a mainly sunny morning then cloud increases this afternoon as southerlies freshen, some drizzle possible mainly inland.

Lower South Island

Breezy south to southwesterly winds about Southland and Otago bring mostly cloudy skies and the risk of a shower or two. Mostly sunny for Fiordland with southwesterly winds.
