Upper North Island

Periods of cloud and sunny spells, westerly winds. Eastern areas like the Bay Of Plenty and eastern Northland will likely have mostly sunny weather during the day.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny weather in the east and about Wellington. Cloud at times in the west with the chance of a shower or two especially Taranaki.

Upper South Island

Cloudy periods in the west with the odd light shower possible now and then, mostly sunny weather in the east with some high cloud. Winds from the northwest for most, light about the east coast.

Lower South Island

Mostly sunny in the east with some high cloud, breezy northwesterly winds. Some cloud about Southland but mainly dry, northwesterly winds there too. Cloudy on the West Coast with a few patchy light showers, becoming a little more persistent in the evening.
