A northerly airflow increases overnight with high cloud thickening across the country, some rain moves into Southland this evening. Rain about Fiordland from this evening then spreading into a few other western parts of New Zealand overnight.

Becoming cloudy this evening with northeasterly winds increasing, the odd shower moves in overnight.

Auckland

Areas of high cloud thickening from later this evening, a few showers
towards dawn tomorrow.
Tonight’s Low: 15

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island

Areas of high cloud thickening from this evening, northeasterlies
developing. Chance of a shower towards dawn tomorrow in the west of the Central
North Island and Waikato.
Tonight’s Lows: 8-14

Eastern North Island

Clear skies with high cloud increasing overnight, northeasterly
winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Western North Island

Areas of high cloud thickening from this evening, northerlies develop
overnight. Winds tend more northeast about Taranaki with patchy rain moving in
there overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 9-14

Wellington

Cloudy with northerly winds. The odd light shower possible, mainly
overnight.
Tonight’s Low: 14

Nelson

Cloudy with some late or overnight drizzle possible, northerly winds
increase after midnight. Rain tomorrow morning.
Tonight’s Low: 14

Marlborough

High cloud thickening this evening, northwesterlies tend more northerly
overnight. Some rain possible around dawn tomorrow.
Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

Canterbury

Cloudy with a few spells of rain possible towards dawn tomorrow,
northeasterly winds.
Tonight’s Low: 11

West Coast

Cloudy with rain about Fiordland, spreading north into North Westland
overnight. Heavy falls at times. Northeasterly winds.
Tonight’s Low: 13

Coastal Otago

Mostly cloudy with northeasterly winds, a few spells of rain from later
this evening or overnight.
Tonight’s Low: 10

Central Otago

High cloud, a few brief spells of rain this evening then clearing. Around
dawn tomorrow rain moves in again.
Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

Southland

Cloudy with spells of rain, mainly this evening then easing a little
overnight. Northeasterly winds.
Tonight’s Low: 10

Hi WW. Just been out admiring the moon in fairly close proximity to Jupiter. Nice clear skies at the moment. Been some nice autumn weather recently here at Waipu but a nice drop of rain tomorrow would go down well. I have only recorded 253 mils year to date so a bit of a top up would be good.

Still catch your forecasts as your accuracy is very good.
