Showers, frosts possible – #WeatherRisks on Thursday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The winds may be dying down, but there’s still a few gusty parts of the country here and there – it’s showers and frosts to look out for on Thursday…

A few isolated showers are possible about inland areas of the South Island in the afternoon, from Canterbury northwards into Marlborough.
There’s also the chance of light rain or showers for some inland parts of the North Island in the east.
As far as risks, these showers could contain some small hail but that’s about all.

Overnight there could be a few light frosts about inland parts of the North and South Islands, mainly from Otago through to southern Waikato, 0 to –2 degree temperatures are in the offing.
