Settling down – #WeatherRisks and your Main Centre outlook on Wednesday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Wednesday looks to be settling down as we approach the holidays, with only a few showers, some cloud, and breezes here and there around New Zealand.

Thursday is shaping up a little more unsettled, with steady showers in parts of the North Island, but after that, it’s looking like clear sailing for the rest of 2015!

Main Centres

Auckland

Another warm one in Auckland, starting sunny, with southwesterlies dying away in the morning, before afternoon east to northeast winds increase and cloud moves in. The odd shower is possible late in the afternoon or evening, though the temperatures will stay high – somewhere in the early 20s.

Wellington

Similar story in the capital, as morning cloud breaks away to mostly sunny weather, along with winds from the south cooling things off a little, keeping temperatures in the late teens.

Christchurch

Cooler in Canterbury, with a mix of sun and cloud to start, and sun increasing in the afternoon with easterlies and a high of around 17C.
