Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Cloudy areas and occasional sun, there may be a patch of low cloud or fog to start the day for inland areas. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 24-26
Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A mix of sun and cloud, Taranaki may see a morning light shower. Light north to northwest winds tend more westerly in the afternoon.
Highs: 22-24
Eastern North Island
Sunny, some cloud starts to increase from mid afternoon as light winds tend easterly. Evening light showers or drizzle possible.
Highs: 23-28
Wellington
Mostly cloudy, breezy northwesterly winds change moderate southerly later in the evening bringing the odd light shower.
High: 20-21
Marlborough & Nelson
Thick high cloud, may be a spot of rain in the afternoon then overnight a few light showers move in as northwest winds change southerly.
Highs: 22-24
Canterbury
The odd drizzle patch, may be some rain this morning. Southeasterly winds.
Highs: 14-17
West Coast
Morning heavy rain then easing to the odd shower, northeasterly winds. Fiordland sees any early rain clear then sunny spells increase.
Highs: 18-21
Southland & Otago
Morning cloud clears then mostly sunny for Southland, may be an early shower for Otago then sunny spells increase. Light winds tend south to southwest.
Highs: 16-20
