A ridge lies over the country today bringing mainly settled weather, there is the chance of a shower or two about some northeastern parts of the North Island however and about South Westland.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny, some cloud in the afternoon however, even the chance of an isolated shower Auckland northwards afternoon / evening otherwise mainly dry. East to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 15

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly sunny with a touch of high cloud, light easterly winds.
Highs: 12-15

Eastern North Island

A few morning showers clear, remaining fairly cloudy although a few sunny spells are possible in the afternoon. The odd shower may hang about Gisborne for much of the day. Easterly winds.
Highs: 13-14

Wellington

Mostly sunny with light northerly winds.
High: 13

Marlborough & Nelson

Any morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, light north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 13-14

Canterbury

Any morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, light winds tend east to northeast near the coast in the afternoon.
Highs: 13-14

West Coast

Mostly cloudy, the odd shower about South Westland. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 13-14

Southland & Otago

Mostly sunny with a touch of high cloud, light north northeasterly winds.
Highs: 11-15
