Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Areas of cloud with the chance of a late afternoon or evening isolated shower. Light winds in the morning then afternoon sea breezes. Northland sees mostly cloudy skies all day, the odd shower about in the morning then becoming heavier in the afternoon for some before clearing later in the evening.
Highs: 26-28

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Any morning cloud clears to mostly sunny weather, southeasterly breezes. Light winds for the most part about the Central North Island, perhaps tending westerly in the afternoon.
Highs: 25-26

Eastern North Island

Areas of cloud and some sun, cloud thickens in the afternoon about Hawkes Bay and Gisborne with a few isolated showers moving in especially about the ranges. Showers ease in the evening to drizzle. Light winds at first then south to southeasterly winds push in around midday.
Highs: 23-25

Wellington

Morning cloud with the chance of a shower or drizzle patch then sunny areas break through, breezy South to Sou’East winds.
High: 19-20

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly cloudy although a few sunny areas possible from afternoon especially about Nelson, southeasterly winds. Northeasterlies in the afternoon about Nelson.
Highs: 19-22

Canterbury

Any morning drizzle clears then expect a mainly cloudy day, Southerly winds.
High: 17

West Coast

Any morning cloud clears otherwise mainly sunny with light winds. Warmest temperatures about inland Buller.
Highs: 20-25

Southland & Otago

Sunny areas increasing from morning, mainly sunny for most by afternoon. Southeasterly winds.
Highs: 16-23
