Periods of cloud and some sun, sunny areas more likely the further east one goes especially about the Bay Of Plenty and eastern Northland. Breezy southwesterly winds.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Periods of cloud and some sun with breezy to brisk westerly winds. Conditions a bit sunnier further inland about the Central North Island.
Highs: 18-19

Eastern North Island

A sunny day with light winds, perhaps tending northwest during the afternoon.
Highs: 26-28

Wellington

Mostly sunny with northwesterly winds.
High: 19

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with west to northwesterly winds picking up in the afternoon, an overnight southerly change brings some cloud and the chance of a shower or two.
Highs: 22-28

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with light winds, an evening south to southwest change brings increasing cloud then some rain.
High: 25

West Coast

Mostly cloudy with the odd shower during the day, winds from the west or southwest.
Highs: 16-17

Southland & Otago

Rain about Southland spreads into Otago during the afternoon on a gusty southwesterly winds change then gradually easing to showers. Winds for Southland during the day may remain largely from the west becoming strong in the afternoon.
Highs: 14-19
