Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly cloudy, a few sunny areas possible at times mainly about the Bay Of Plenty and Northland. Breezy West to Sou’West winds.
Highs: 17-19

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly cloudy with the odd shower, some evening rain. About the Central North Island there may be a few sunny areas in the afternoon before clouding up again in the evening with some rain moving in. Gusty westerly winds ease later in the day.
Highs: 16-17

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with gusty west to northwesterly winds, in the evening winds change southwest bringing cloudy areas and a few showers to the Wairarapa.
Highs: 23-24

Wellington

Cloudy areas with a few showers in the afternoon, strong to gale northwesterly winds tend southerly in the evening.
High: 16

Marlborough & Nelson

High cloud with gusty northwesterly winds, winds change southerly around midday with cloud thickening and bringing the chance of a light shower or two.
High: 20-23

Canterbury

Northwest winds change southerly early in the morning bringing some cloud and a few patchy showers or areas of rain which clear by late afternoon. Northeasterly winds pick up in the evening.
High: 16

West Coast

Some morning rain then clearing around midday as northwesterly winds change westerly, remaining fairly cloudy but there may be sunny spells late afternoon or evening.
High: 15

Southland & Otago

Early rain clears then sunny areas develop in the afternoon, southwesterly winds die away.
Highs: 12-17
