East to southeasterly winds stick around today bringing cloud and patchy rain / drizzle to eastern regions, sunnier conditions out west. However watch for a few isolated showers late afternoon / evening in the west again Waikato northwards.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Sunny areas with Sou’Easterly winds, chance of an isolated shower late afternoon / evening Waikato northwards.
Highs: 17-18

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

A mainly sunny day, a brief shower or two may spread from the east at times nearer the ranges to the west. Winds fairly breezy from the southeast.
Highs: 13-16

Eastern North Island

Cloudy with areas of rain easing to drizzle in the afternoon, southeasterly winds.
Highs: 13-14

Wellington

Cloudy areas with patchy showers or drizzle possible, mainly later on. Sou’Easterly winds.
High: 11

Marlborough & Nelson

A cloudy start for Marlborough with some drizzle then sunny areas break through after midday, mostly sunny about Nelson. Breezy southeasterly winds.
Highs: 13-15

Canterbury

A cloudy morning with some drizzle, cloud breaks in the afternoon. Southerly winds.
High: 11

West Coast

Mainly sunny with southeasterly winds.
Highs: 16-17

Southland & Otago

Morning cloud breaks to a mainly sunny day, light easterly winds.
