Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Cloudy areas and some sun, chance of a shower or two about especially morning. The Bay Of Plenty is likely to have longer sunny areas during the day after any early showers clear. Breezy southwesterly winds.
High: 15-17

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Any early showers clear then expect sunny areas and some cloud, breezy west to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 11-14

Eastern North Island

A few early morning showers clear then becoming sunny with southwesterlies dying away. Light winds from afternoon.
High: 14

Wellington

Any early cloud clears to sunny weather, southerlies at first then northwesterlies from afternoon.
High: 12

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny weather with light winds tending west to northwest in the afternoon.
Highs: 13-14

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with light winds, west to northwest winds build inland. A southwest change moves through late evening with some cloud and a few brief showers possible.
Highs: 12-13

West Coast

Mostly cloudy with the odd patchy shower, westerly winds. Rain moves into South Westland during the afternoon then pushes north in the evening. A southwest change follows in behind the rain.
High: 11

Southland & Otago

Sunny areas and increasing high cloud, northwesterly winds build. Late afternoon or evening a southwest change brings a period of rain then clearing by midnight.
Highs: 8-10
