A front moves over the upper North Island this morning, stalling around Northland for much of the day. Elsewhere the weather is looking brighter and sunner as a ridge moves in from the Tasman Sea. The morning’s will noticeably be feeling a bit cooler.

Fairly cloudy with showers developing this morning, hanging around for much of the day and clearing in the evening. South to southwesterly winds. There is the chance for a brief heavy fall or two late afternoon / evening before clearing.

Morning showers ease then clear, sunny spells increase from afternoon,
southwesterlies die out overnight.
Highs: 19

Bay Of Plenty

A period of early morning showers then clearing, becoming mostly sunny from
midday. Southwesterlies die out later in the evening.
High: 19

Waikato & Central North Island

Any early showers clear with sunny spells increasing, southwesterlies die
out later in the evening.
Highs: 17-18

Eastern North Island

Becoming sunny this morning for most, a few morning showers about Gisborne
clearing then sunny spells increase. Southerly winds ease.
Highs: 17-19

Western North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds, tending southwest about Taranaki.
Highs: 17-18

Wellington

Becoming sunny this morning, southerly winds die out then tend light
northerly this afternoon.

Sunny with light winds, perhaps tending northeast along the coast this
afternoon.

in the day.

Mostly sunny with light winds, cold temperatures morning and night.
