I hope that anticyclone goes away soon, had enough of it. Damn well cold this morning, 2.5C with cold Katabatic drainage. Good day, just slight but cool S + easterlies now, but not to be trusted. SE anticyclones always give us problems and it is worse than ever this year. We dropped to 996 during the SE storm … in an anticyclone, then back up to 1011. Hence updrafts and the storm forming as the freezing waves came over, firing freezing air into us. Dislike being on the low pressure, stormy side of the hills attracting wind and very cold waves. Please please, not an anticyclonic winter, they’re horrible and way too cold. Rather have fronts and winter storms than that.
