A tropical low is centred offshore to the northeast of the North Island today, this brings cloudy skies and patchy rain / drizzle for eastern regions. Out west expect mostly sunny weather. For the South Island conditions are fairly settled with cloudy areas breaking to sunny spells for most during the day.

Sunny areas and some cloud with southerly winds tending southwesterly in the afternoon, southwesterlies may be brisk at times then easing later in the evening.

Sunny spells and some cloud, southeasterly winds becoming brisk in the
afternoon. About the Waikatao and Bay Of Plenty winds will be similar but expect
mostly sunny conditions with some high cloud.

Cloudy with patchy rain or drizzle, brisk southeasterly winds.

Areas of cloud, sunny spells now and then too. Taranaki will be mostly
sunny during the day. Southeasterly winds, freshening up late afternoon for all.
