Overnight winds increased over the scene near the shipwreck of Rena and today conditions will remain windy and blustery.
North to nor’ west winds picked up overnight and today winds are tending more westerly as perhaps not quite so blowy.
Nor’ east swells are increasing to a couple of metres if not a little higher however with the westerlies moving in, these should slacken a little to near the metre mark later today.
Until the end of the week breezy conditions are likely to come in from the west or southwest with showery and sunny periods.
