It might be mid winter, but it sure doesn’t feel like it, if our latest poll is anything to go by – with spring conditions coming early for many kiwis this season. With the exception of this weekend the past couple of weeks have been generally mild – with numerous people reporting to WeatherWatch the spring-like conditions at their place.
We’ve had a lot of feedback from around the country, with people talking about early lambing, warmer than usual temperatures and good grass growth in some places – all signs of spring in a normal year.
75% of our respondents said they have seen spring conditions where they live already, with just a quarter of voters stuck in the cold…
This weekend might not feel quite so spring-like, however, as our temperatures and conditions take a step back into winter mode again – you certainly can’t claim that 2015 has been a boring weather year!
