POLL RESULTS: NZ 50/50 on spring allergies

> From the WeatherWatch archives

After a long intro to spring towards the end of winter in some parts, we wanted to know how our readers were dealing with any pollen related issues – or if there were any.

We were surprised at the results, as things came out almost 50/50 on whether allergies – normally one of the biggest spring headaches – were better or worse than usual for this time of year.

22% said they were worse than last month, while a quarter said allergies were acting up but not too badly, and 12% said conditions were “better than usual”.

We’ll try to keep an eye on the pollen/spore levels around the country, and get our readers’ thoughts on how the allergy season progresses as we go – and once again, thanks to all who voted!
