POLL RESULTS: New Zealanders split on liking wet weather

> From the WeatherWatch archives

With a wet and cold June in the rear view mirror, July has started off in a similar vein – with low temperatures dominating in both islands this week to start the new month.

We wanted to know how many of our readers were closet rain lovers – the kind of people who enjoy listening to the patter of raindrops on the roof or seeing the storm clouds closing in on their city or town.

It seems as though we are split as a nation between love and hate when it comes to rain – our latest poll showing opinion is pretty well split down the middle, with 40% saying yes and just over 40% disagreeing.

Whatever your opinion of rain, we may be looking at some more before the end of the month – so either way you might have to get used to it!
