The results are in and they aren’t surprising when you think about it – Kiwis love the outdoors and want to get out as often as possible, according to our latest poll.
We asked how much spare time you spend outdoors.
There were several options with a clear majority dominating at 48% with “As much as possible!”.
Second was “I try and get out every day” at 26%.
That means a huge 74% who took part in our poll get out daily, or ‘as much as possible’. We certainly know some of WeatherWatch.co.nz’s readers head out several times a day for walks, to take photos, or to walk the dog or push the stroller. Clearly we have a large rural farming/growing audience too – who spend a great deal of the seven days outside even when they’ve finished work. Why wouldn’t you when so much of rural New Zealand is gorgeous!
10% said they get out once or twice a week and 7% said “every now and then”.
Coming in at 9% was “I love being indoors thanks!”.
New Zealanders certainly love the outdoors – our climate is friendly to us being outdoors 12 months of the year too (ie, we don’t get near 50C in summer, or -30C in winter!).
Look for our new poll coming tomorrow.
