The results from our latest weather poll shows New Zealanders are loving this summer but quite a few are finding it too hot and too humid.
Our poll, which gave a number of possible answers (mostly negative) was designed to see what jumps out most about this summer.
The biggest voting block went to “Too hot” – not surprising as NZ continues to break records and even hotter weather into the late 30sC is expected in the South Island on Monday and Tuesday. It’s been especially hot across parts of New Zealand in recent weeks.
The second biggest voting block was positive – simply saying “perfect”.
In third place? Too humid.
So two negatives and one positive in the top three replies, but hot and humid takes the majority with around 52 or 53%.

This weather takes me back to when Summer actually had Summer weather.
No talk of moving school holidays to Feb or March back then as we had Summer.
Last year was wet wet wet, and then Mummy nature decided we deserved a Summer – she delivered, and is doing so in spades.
Just hearing the first sounds of Cicadas for the year,,,,,, More sleepless nights ahead!
Oh well Winter may be a real Winter this year.
Damn that Climate change 🙂
