POLL RESULTS: It’s starting to feel a lot like autumn

> From the WeatherWatch archives

This last week, we’ve seen a big swing in our conditions and temperatures in some parts of the country – with a strong westerly airflow pushing away a lot of humidity and high temperatures in the west of both islands.

Meanwhile, the east of the country has been experiencing the after effects of that airflow, with temperatures pushed higher in the east, both north and south.

This week, we wanted to know through our poll which season our readers FEEL like they’re in – because things are a little topsy-turvy in some parts of New Zealand.

The results were interesting indeed, with a big swing in votes towards “autumn” later in the week, after “spring” and “summer” were holding near parity before Wednesday.

Nearly half of all voters now think it feels like autumn, with the other half split between the two warmer seasons.
