POLL RESULTS: Flu season still to come for most kiwis

> From the WeatherWatch archives

With autumn starting to cool down already in many places, the change of season is usually ripe time for coughs, colds, sniffles and the dreaded flu to start taking kiwis down around the country.

In our latest poll, we wanted to know how many people had already succumbed to the flu or other seasonal illnesses – and to our surprise, only a third – exactly 33% – said they have!

For the rest, it was a split between “not yet” and “I don’t get the flu” – so for the majority of kiwis, 2016 has been seasonal sickness free – so far.

As temperatures continue to drop, and our indian summer eventually ends, surely we will start to see those numbers start to change…
