Poll Results: Climate / Environmental concerns look more likely to influence voters than 2014 election

> From the WeatherWatch archives

WeatherWatch.co.nz has run another poll, similar to one we ran before the 2014 election – and the results have swung the other way.

In July 0f 2014 we asked WeatherWatch.co.nz readers if the Environment/Climate will affect their vote – an overwhelming 57% said “No – not at all”.

Fast forward to the poll we just ran this week of June 2017 and the “No, not at all” answer plummets to just 24% of the vote.

What a difference three years makes.

Of course our polls are not scientific, simply a snapshot to gauge the mood of those visiting our website & take part in the poll. But it certainly shows something has changed in the past few years.

New Zealanders head to the polls for the General Election on September 23.
