Each spring WeatherWatch.co.nz usually gauges how the spring pollen is affecting you – and this year we’ve had a stronger than usual response saying “yes”. In fact the record breaking warm June and July lead to pollen levels jumping in August and pollen coating things last month.
An even split with 49% of those who took part in the online poll say the pollen is affecting them with spring allergies here already.
35% of people say they have seen the pollen – but are not affected by it and an additional 16% not only didn’t notice any physical pollen but also aren’t showing any allergy symptoms, meaning 51% are not affected.
A close split poll on the effects of pollen on New Zealanders this spring.
But it’s quite significant that a massive 79% of people who voted said they have physically seen pollen on BBQ covers, vehicles, outdoor tables and chairs etc.
So a busy pollen and allergy season so far this year it seems.
Check out our next Poll coming on Sunday.
