High pressure is mostly north of the country at the moment, bringing windy westerlies over the nation and they will continue off and on all week and going into the weekend.
Wednesday is perhaps one of the most settled days as high pressure briefly crosses northern NZ with lighter winds and drier skies.
But a cold front moves up the country late week and going into the weekend – bringing more rain, snow and wind to some parts of the county – along with large sunny/dry weather for many in the east.
We have your NZ forecast through to Sunday.
