Do you think the weather has gotten worse over the past few years. Yes or no?

WW Forecast Team on 16/09/2025 8:23pm

This winter/spring has definitely seen more wind and cold air into NZ (and south-east Australia) due to large lows in the Southern Ocean and highs north of us (or offshore from NZ). The reason it may feel worse is because previous years were both drier and warmer than average in many regions. A return to “normal” feels worse after that. Sept/Oct are peak months for unsettled weather.
