While the last couple of weeks has seen its fair share of extreme weather, we’ve had a lot of correspondence from different parts of the country about how dry it’s getting in places.

Hastings District Council, for instance, issued a number of suggestions to locals for conserving water, after an extended dry spell which is worrying landowners – while eastern and northern areas of both islands are starting to dry out.

So we wanted to know from our readers – how many of you are concerned with the current state of things? Is it drying out where you are, or are you seeing the opposite? We’re picking a fairly dry end to November for the country, so it may get worse before it gets better…
