It’s fair to say we’ve had a slow start to summer in parts of New Zealand – with temperatures and weather staying distinctly spring-like for many.
Temperatures have stayed low in some South Island places, with a series of westerly airflows sweeping over the country as well as big areas of low pressure.
We wanted to know what percentage of our readers have had to resort to heating their homes this summer so far – whether that be fire, heater, or electric blankets – to stay warm?

Yes, particularly by night and during the Southerlies and cold-wind westerly gales. The NNE has been cool wind this summer. Paekakariki. Me thinx the seasons are still one month late, so we are still in Spring. That would be right as November is traditionally a very windy month here, hence December being so shitty for cold wind.
